How Could This Have Happened Again?

As I was scrolling through my Facebook feed over the weekend, my jaw hit the floor as I came across the footage of the flooding that was happening in Howard County, for the second time in less than 2 years. The damage unfolding before our eyes was unfathomable to me. Everyone had to be asking themselves "How could this happen again?" A lot of people had opinions as to what caused this natural disaster, but I don't know that anyone actually KNOWS exactly what caused it. We can assume that there are several contributing factors, but which one of those factors tipped the scales. We cannot be sure. Are there some things that we can do to try to prevent this from occurring again? Of course, there are! If we change nothing, then nothing will change...

Often times, lower back pain is like this flood. There is a series of events that lead to one catastrophic (for you) moment. Did your lower back pain really come on because you lifted a sock from the floor? Or was it all of the other stuff that you had been doing that day? Or was it the long hours that you spend sitting at your desk? Or in your car? It is almost as difficult to determine what caused your lower back pain as it is to determine what factor caused the flooding. In both cases though, if you change nothing, then nothing will change. You need to focus on making changes in your life to prevent the onset/return of lower back pain. It is not always an easy road to travel, but your effort will pay off in the long run! Do not just sit around and wait for the changes to happen to you, instead MAKE THE CHANGE HAPPEN!
