How grateful are you?

There are two types of people in the world. Which one are you? (Maybe that is a little too simplistic but bear with me for a moment.)

One group of people believes that the moment that Halloween has passed it is time to get out and display ALL of their Christmas decorations. The other group pauses for about a month, waiting to celebrate Thanksgiving, before even entertaining the idea of decorating for Christmas.

Which group are you in?

This week, regardless of which group you fall into, I am asking you to do what you can to be in the second group. For just one week. Even if your house is already decorated for Christmas, even if you are already listening to All I Want For Christmas Is You, and have watched Elf three times, this week I want you to take time to celebrate Thanksgiving, and think about all of the things in your life that you are grateful for.

Even during the roughest times in our lives, we still have a lot to be grateful for. Do you live in the United States of America? Be grateful for that. Do you have a roof over your head? Be grateful. Is your family healthy? Be grateful. Did you get to experience the beautiful sunrise this morning? Be grateful. Is there food in your refrigerator? Be grateful.

There are so many things in our lives that we must be grateful for. The more time that you spend focusing on gratitude, the more things that you will notice in your life to be grateful for.

Give it a try for just one week!

You may find that you don't ever want to stop!
