Steve Kerr Weighs In With Advice About Spinal Surgery

I am going to keep this one very short and sweet. For those who didn’t see this news story this week, Steve Kerr, head coach of the Golden State Warriors basketball team, was unable to coach his team in an NBA Playoff game because he is still suffering ongoing issues following a lumbar disc surgery performed in 2015. Yes, I said 2015! That was 2 years ago, and the lingering effects were strong enough to keep him away from a Playoff game. Here is the most poignant quote from a recent interview:

“I can tell you if you’re listening out there, if you have a back problem, stay away from surgery,’’ Kerr told reporters. “I can say that from the bottom of my heart. REHAB, REHAB, REHAB. Don’t let anyone get in there.”
